Christmas Trees and Christmas Mantle in Basement

Well, although it has been a while since we have posted , we have had LOTS going on in our life! We have worked alot on our basement entertainment area, as it is the where we have our TV and a lovely wood burning fireplace. So, to keep in step with the holiday season I am going to post some fun pictures comparing our first Christmas as a married couple to this year 🙂

Here is a picture of our tree from last year at our rental house. We had so much fun that year and loved decorating our home together.

Vintage Real Christmas Tree

Here we are before and after exchanging gifts…

And here is our tree and decor for this year!!

No presents under the tree just yet, but I am excited to get going. Although, we don’t have too long! I found this great burlap chevron runner that I put around the tree this year and I am really loving it!

Basement Christmas Mantle

Here is a picture of our mantle in our basement. This wall itself will come along with a couple of posts because this wall has come a long long way from where it was initially. Stay tuned for a DIY blog post about whitewashing a brick wall!

Can’t wait to show what else we have done with our home these past 6 months!!!

Praying you all have a wonderful Christmas season and remember the true reason that we celebrate every year. Remembering the birth of our Savior and what that means for our daily lives! Be blessed during this time!
